so the first week has passed. literally, 5 days. friday was declared a holiday, due to our imba imba year 6 results.Sounds like all great and pleasing news?
WRONG.
firstly: damnit, declare wednesday. Its longer, and we will get to skip TWO commentaries.
secondly: training.
thirdly: This means we are expected to score really really well when it comes to our batch. why? Lets take a look at the statistics
First batch: 40% above 40 points, average of 39.something.
Second batch: 60% above 40 points, average of 40.2
Therefore forth batch: 80%, average of 42.
Of course, lets see how the third batch does first. (screw up screw up screw up)
So anyway, we have met all our teachers, all the speculation is over. We got Mr. Jarett Kan again, so thats good news. But one of my teachers is really strict about hair. Rough year ahead. Other than that, most of my teachers are rather alright. Though of course, this is just the few weeks. The question is, if they are gonna survive 36 more weeks with us.
Marathon tmr, quite daunting. We have been training quite a bit for this. 16km programs, fartlek, 2k sprints, portages. FINALLY after tmr no more. But this is the final test, not whether I can win (because i cannot), but whether i will survive. If i die, please say nice things about me. 27km gosh. Perhaps it would be better to think of it as 6x4.5km. hmm. okay no its not. Hopefully having someone to row with and having more portages and having gatorade in my trusty water bag will pull me through. Hopefully.
Okay time to go gear up with plasters, duck tape, and gatorade and to load up with carbo and water.
