The week has been mostly great, and i think a large number of 4.11ers would have to agree.

School life was pretty much like this: boring assembly, 5-mins-of-our-time-contact-time, not going for a certain something, recess, soccer, self-delcared recess, slack, bridge, and recently, bottle cap flicking.

With the occasional post-exam event like the chinese roadshow which translates into naptime for most.

However, not all was nice and good and comfy stuff. Wednesday marked the spraining of my wrist. The first actual injury I ever got. Heres the story: I got into a fight at a bar with this drunk burly guy, and I beat him down, though in the process spraining my wrist. It was worth it though, for I was received as a hero...

..is what I would like to say. But as fate has it, truth is that I slipped over the soccer ball and landed on my wrist. Totally not worth it though, for I was received by laughs (at first anyway) and I didnt score (which was what was intended to happen: my third goal)

Anyway, visited the matron, got bandaged etc etc, got medicine from a doctor, etc etc, cant train for 2 weeks. So I guess this is buhbye to NCC and dragonboat. And I can't even wave my left hand in goodbye.

However I must admit this bandage looks rather cool. And despite my unfortunate mishap, the week was still enjoyable.

And btw, happy birthday joonkiat! Let's miss weeks of training together!

And hell, all i get is a messed up brother with a messed up attitude problem.

And believe me, this is way too censored to do the situation justice.

When the rain is blowing in your face
And the whole world is on your case
I would offer you a warm embrace
To make you feel my love

When the evening shadows and the stars appear
And there is no one to dry your tears
I could hold you for a million years
To make you feel my love

my number one fan, brian wang, complains that my blog is boring. So I shall do a quick update on my life happenings. Apparently he's interested.

So, the last time I stopped was, before mid years. Which did indeed seem daunting with only 3 weeks left to study after our nationals. So it became hard core study fest for me. And just in case you are imagining some intensive closet mugger, I was nothing like that.
Buttt, I did try, you gotta give credit for that. Ask around, I was turning down SOCCER and LAN to go home after school. I admit, I admit, not all that time at home was spent studying, but it was a good effort.

And then soon enough, came the cursed mid-years. First day, lang arts and ihs. We went in with nervous faces and solemn eyes, and ended the day with hurting hands. Or so you would think. We went in joking and our mood still rather 4.11-esque. And we came out shouting, 'saugah-time!' (or at least, thats how teck hong said it. and his voice, quite loud).

But of course, we did study. Like, on the days themselves. Like hardcore last minute memorising of prepared essays on total war on 7th and anxious questions about differentiation of trigo identities on 15th. It was all too late though, and many came out lamenting about failing. (e.g. ben soh, wei ren, etc. etc.) Though as always they were soon replaced by 'soccer!!!! Go take the court, I have the ball!' or something along those lines.

And then finally, the blessed 10.15am of 15th of May, after we have moved tables and dumped them (literally) in our beloved classroom. The 15 were all set and ready for The Cage. But spoilers who weren't invited came and kpkp. But whatever, the 15 stuck. The Cage turned out to be an awesome 2 hours of soccer-time, which however made us sleepy for Angels and Demons, which was good too.

The first 2 days of post-exams have been rather slack. Monday was a no-lesson, plenty-of-soccer day. And today was a no-lesson, plenty-of-soccer day. Some papers have been reviewed though, and I think I'm doing rather alright thus far.

But now training is back, kicking off excellently with a wonderful attendance of 1 by the sec 4s on saturday. Oh oh and, I WAS THE ONE. (thanks, guys) In any case, it was a slack program of 10km easy. Not so for the people on monday, who had to do a torturous 5by2. Though I didn't ((: And today was mainly teaching sec 1s (after the stupid chinese thing) which is such a chore.

Ok. Done.

Its not the pale moon that excites me
That thrills and delights me, oh no
Its just the nearness of you

It isnt your sweet conversation
That brings this sensation, oh no
Its just the nearness of you

When youre in my arms and I feel you so close to me
All my wildest dreams come true

I need no soft lights to enchant me
If youll only grant me the right
To hold you ever so tight
And to feel in the night the nearness of you

What a surprising play of events that had led up to this. Really, what is now reality was barely dreamed of just months ago.

Yet its such a pleasant, sweet thing, that I'm not about to start questioning how it worked out so vv perfectly.

Exams tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How fasttt. It seems like my nationals were 2 days ago or something.

Then again, the year has passed pretty fast. Its already May! Term 1 results still lingers at the back of our heads. And suddenly got all this swine flu nonsense. What's next, lizard cough?

But oh well, im not complaining or anything. I mean, its not even here yet. yet. And while it isn't, i think im having a pretty perfect life as of now. Provided i don't somehow screw up mid years.

Things have far surpassed my dreams.
